The NEW GRID preview

Instagram is always changing and shaking things up. One of its most recent changes - the grid preview size - has people feeling all sorts of ways! Instagram has decided that the grid will now show up as 3:4 creating a tall rectangle, as opposed to 1:1, the square we all know.
TBH I like it. I always found the square limiting - like, why was it ever a square? Most photos are not squares! I have heard a lot of grumblings about it, though. Many people are not keen on the new size. I admit, it does mess up posts that are already on the grid planned specifically for the square format. If it bugs you that much you can change the preview, to shrink down the square:
find the post you want to edit
click the three dots on the right hand side
from the menu that opens, select "adjust preview"
on the screen that opens next, you can see how the post fits on the grid in both formats, by clicking "fit" or "fill"; if you choose "fill" you will get white bars on either the top/bottom or left/right sides. You can change the colour of the background to black or white
Choose which format you like best and works for the post.
Select the "checkmark"
And your choice will be saved
When you are creating a post, keep in mind the new ratio. Photos will now display as 1015 x 1350 px. It is important to note that while this is the size of the preview, the content you upload needs to be 1080 x 1350 px. Instagram gives you the option. before posting, to choose either the traditional square or the new rectangle; however, despite what you choose, the grid will still preview in the new vertical format.
Embrace the change. Don't stress over it. I know you may have spent a great deal of time organizing and styling your grid but there is not much you can do about it now, so time to go with the flow.
I want to know your thoughts. Are you digging the new preview format or are you really not keen on it?
